What is YEI?
Youth Energy Initiative (YEI) is a non-profit charitable organization that provides energy awareness services to the public through animated and illustrative media and entertainment. YEI also assists fellow organizations promoting efficient energy use. An important goal is to launch a nation wide initiative to conserve energy by reaching out to the youth of the world, the future of society.
Does YEI advocate different forms of energy supply over others?
No, YEI’s only agenda is to promote energy awareness and conservation. Although we do address the benefits of renewable energies, we also promote efficient use of non-renewable energy sources like coal, oil and natural gas. YEI’s Elementals characters represent both renewable and non-renewable energy resources.
How does it work?
YEI educates through exciting media and entertainment formulated to capture the interest of children. This is achieved through film, video, television, books and our interactive website. Each of the projects YEI develops is geared towards creating experiences that any child, young or old, can take with them and utilize in their everyday lives.
How can I be active and support the initiative?
First and foremost, it’s the people involved with YEI that keep the initiative alive. As an educational non-profit 501 (c) (3), we welcome tax deductible donations of any size. We also align ourselves with other charitable organizations and can promote conservation within the educational system, industry and government. Our main goal is to reach as many new audiences as possible and your donation, whether it be large or small gets us one step closer to making a difference for generations to come.
Will my contribution to YEI really make a difference?
Absolutely. Every dollar promotes awareness. Conserving energy and being more efficient will only help to sustain our environmental well being and your contributions will sustain us in being able to pass along that message.
